Getting started

Welcome to a blog about my Tau

Well for starters, I probably won't be writing much on this blog. I don't enjoy writing, but I consider documentation to be important, and I want to be able to look back at my progress, but most importantly this is going on the internet because I hope other people out there will find this blog and comment on my progress, telling me what they think of my work, offering constructive criticism or support etc. It's about time I started being more of a "community" person, after all!

he current state of my army is not good, many models are not fully assembled or are broken. Some bought from ebay are half-scrubbed of their previous paint jobs. The one group of fully painted models I do have are a trio of old XV88's I purchased on eBay shortly before the 6E Codex update.

I have quite a lot of stuff though, and many of them have seen battle and returned victoriously.

The plan? I will start with this, and gradually fix up this army into a grand spectacle and constantly expand it.

My army will be from the Sa'Cea sept, and won't be even close to completion for at least a year. I've been working on a narrative for the army for a while, the fluff and backstory is what drives the hobby for me, but also because choices of basing is very important to me. I will be making a small Farsight Enclaves detachment in time, and want their bases to match so I need a backstory to tie them in, as well as with Tyranid, as this is the next army to collect and I want to theme all three armies to be part of a great war.

So what have I done so far? I've never painted seriously before and have been working on one unit of Fire Warriors, they aren't fantastic but I'm happy and they are almost finished too.
